This profile is for a Firefighter / Paramedic position. Current WA State certification, or State of residence AND NREMT AND eligible for WA certification. Must have completed NREMT certification thru a CAAHEP approved training program.

IMPORTANT CPAT INFORMATION

- Applicants must possess valid Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) credentials dated within the past year.

- CPAT results from Public Safety Testing (PST) or National Testing Network (NTN) are both acceptable to Lacey Fire District #3. Olympia and Tumwater Fire Departments will ONLY accept a CPAT from Public Safety Testing.

- If you registered to test for other PST agencies, you must complete a PST CPAT as required by those agencies.


OUT OF STATE TESTING:

Medic One will cover the following travel expenses for qualifying candidates to the April 2024 testing:

· Round-Trip Flight

· 3-Night hotel stay, based on the current per diem rate

· Rental Car

· Meals based on the current per diem rate

Department Information

Thurston County Medic One provides ALS oversight for three (3) agencies: Lacey Fire District #3, Olympia Fire Department, and Tumwater Fire Department in Thurston County. Following successful completion of the Public Safety Testing process, candidates may be invited to the Medical Program Director's process, which consists of a scenario-based oral board interview. Once this process is complete, the names of the successful candidates will be provided to Lacey Fire District #3, Olympia Fire Department, and Tumwater Fire Department for additional evaluation. All hires will be required to pass the Thurston County protocol test within 30 days of hire or prior to coming off their third rider probationary period.
