Tenino “Stone City” is located in southeast Thurston County and is where the state received it’s sandstone to build a number capitol buildings in the state capitol.

Department Information

Our department is comprised of four commissioned patrol officers, non-commissioned police clerk, Code Enforcement officer and Police Chief. We work closely with the Thurston County Sheriff’s office and Washington State Patrol to provide services to our community.

Job Description

The City of Tenino is hiring Lateral Police Officer in accordance with the City of Tenino Civil Service Commission.  The Tenino Police Department is an innovative law enforcement agency whose mission is to proactively address crime, reduce victimization and safeguard the constitutional rights of all people.

Lateral applicants may not have a break in service exceding 3 years.
