Test Day Requirements - Corrections

Test Date Reminders:

  • You must bring valid government-issued photo identification.
  • Don’t forget your notarized “Applicant Liability Waiver and Release Agreement”. If you do not have your waiver notarized we will have a notary available at the test site for a fee. The notary will only be available until 10 minutes prior to the test beginning.  If your waiver is not notarized, you will not be allowed to test.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled testing time for registration. If you arrive late you will not be permitted to test and will be required to reschedule.
  • Wear clothing/shoes appropriate for the physical ability test. There will be a few minutes following your written exam to change prior to the physical ability test, if you desire.

Allocate approximately 6 - 8 hours for both the written and physical ability tests.

The following items are NOT ALLOWED in the written test room:
Bags, Purses, Mechanical Pencils, Electronic Devices (Cell Phones, Watches, Cameras, Calculators, PDA’s, MP3 Players, etc) or any other items determined inappropriate by testing proctors. It is your responsibility to secure these items prior to entering the written test room.

Other Important Information

The information that you provided in your account profile, your test dates and scores, and your Personal History Statement will be made available to the agency or agencies to which you applied.  Please review for this information for accuracy.  It is your responsibility to make any changes in your account before your test date.

You are encouraged to re-review the physical ability test information on our website prior to your test date.  The physical ability testing standards will be strictly followed.

The written examination will be administered first. If you score 70% or higher on the written exam you will participate in the physical ability test which will immediately follow the written exam.  If, for whatever reason, you anticipate that you will not be able to participate in the physical ability test immediately following your written exam, you should reschedule your test date for another time.

Don’t forget that you may test for any agency from any state at any location we are testing. You must add departments to your list BEFORE you start your written exam.

You may also test for law enforcement and corrections officer at the same time.
