Community Information

The City of Moses Lake is located in central Grant County with a population of approximately 22,080. Moses Lake encompasses 17 square miles and is home to many industries such as Boeing, Genie Industries, REC Silicon, SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers, and many others. Moses Lake is centrally located along I-90 and is only one hour from Spokane and Tri-Cities. Grant County has some of the best recreational activities in the state such as hunting, fishing and boating. We enjoy over 300 days of sunshine each year and seldom see a harsh winter.

Department Information

The Moses Lake Fire Department serves the City of Moses Lake providing fire, rescue and advanced life support emergency medical service to its citizens and visitors. The MLFD responds to approximately 3,800 calls a year (2013) and expects to see the call volume increase in the future. The MLFD is a career department with 34 full time employees. The MLFD is an I.A.F.F. affiliated department and is proud of its employees and the services we provide. The MLFD seeks employees who enjoy a fun work atmosphere, take pride in their work and can work as a team.
