Tribal Officers may be accepted as lateral entry applicants if they have twenty-four months of full time, paid service with a Tribal Police Agency within Washington State and have completed the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Basic Law Enforcement Academy and are eligible for peace officer certification by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission. The applicant must not have any period of separation from law enforcement as defined in the RCW that exceeds three (3) years prior to application at the city of Edmonds. X

The eligibility list is a continuous listing and maintained as scores are received from PST with oral board interviews conducted on an as-needed basis. Vacancies are filled under Civil Service Rules with any of the top twenty candidates being eligible for a Chief's interview and subsequent background investigation & selection as vacancies occur.


Salary Information

Lateral Entry $78k a year topping out at $86k. Base salary without incentives
