The City of Hoquiam is located about an hour west of Olympia towards Ocean Shores, on HWY 101. The rural location, waterways, rain forest and beaches make Grays Harbor and the City of Hoquiam a great place for outdoor recreation.

Department Information

The Hoquiam Fire Department is fully paid and employs 21 line personnel on 3 shifts operating out of two stations. The area covered is the City of Hoquiam for fire and EMS response, but also covers approximately 400 square miles for ALS responses. New employees must obtain a residence within 60 minutes to the Headquarters fire station within 1 year of date of hire.
