Community Information

Spokane County Fire District #9 borders the City of Spokane and City of Spokane Valley to the north. Numerous communities exist within the District’s service area. The Spokane Metro area is experiencing increased population and economic growth. A major revitalization of the Downtown core has been occurring over many years. A diverse offering of food, cultural events and leisure activities exist throughout the area. Numerous state parks, national forests and other recreation opportunities are within a short drive of the community.

Department Information

Spokane County Fire District 9 is located in suburban north Spokane County and provides full service fire protection, prevention and emergency medical services to approximately 45,000 residents over a 122 square mile area. The District is a combination career/volunteer department with a total of 72 career personnel and 70 volunteer personnel operating from nine fire stations. Within this service area is a wide range of land uses, including: residences, schools, rural forested lands, railways, industrial properties and dams.
