Department Information

The Suquamish Police Department consists of 20 commissioned officers. The department is divided into three areas:

* Patrol Division: Provides 24 hours, 7 days a week coverage to the community of the Port Madison Indian Reservation.

*Marine Division: Ensures natural resources and Suquamish tribal members fishing and hunting rights are honored.

* Investigative Division: Investigates crimes and conducts follow-up investigations generated by the patrol division.

Current Hiring Status

The eligibility list is a continuous listing and maintained as scores are received form PST with oral board interviews conducted on an as-needed-basis. Vacancies are filled by "rule of three" with the top three candidates forwarded to the appointing authority for background investigation & selection as vacancies occur.

Starting Salary: $61,000 Anually
