Department Information

Thurston County Fire District 6 is a combination department serving approximately 13,000 residents over 30 square miles. We provide automatic aid to the nearby cities of Lacey, Tumwater, and Olympia,in addition to neighboring fire districts and are part of the working fire assignment to most fires in our area. The department averages 1,000 responses a year.  The Department was awarded the Washington State Fire Commissioner's 1st place for Management Excellence for 2015 and passed a bond measure in 2016 to upgrade various apparatus and equipment.  Shift employees work out of two modern stations and have access to a full range of exercise equipment.

Salary Information

$4,560 - $5,278 (Currently in Negotiation)
