The City of Spokane is the second largest city in Washington and the largest city on the northern tier between Minneapolis and Seattle. Also known as the Lilac City, Spokane is located in eastern Washington, approximately 20 miles from the Washington-Idaho border. The area has four distinct seasons and opportunities for spring, summer, fall and winter activities.
The Spokane River runs through the center of the city and bisects the magnificent 100 acre Riverfront Park which was created for Expo 74, a World's Fair event.
