Thurston County Medic One provides ALS oversight for three (3) agencies: Lacey Fire District #3, Olympia Fire Department, and Tumwater Fire Department in Thurston County. Following successful completion of the Public Safety Testing process, candidates may be invited to the Medical Program Director's process, which consists of a written protocol test and oral board. Once this process is complete, the names of the successful candidates will be provided to Lacey Fire District #3, Olympia Fire Department, and Tumwater Fire Department for additional evaluation.

CPAT IMPORTANT CPAT INFORMATION
• Applicants must possess valid Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) credentials dated within the past year**(see below).
• Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater typically will pull a Firefighter/Paramedic list/scores in the spring and fall of each year for additional testing/further consideration. This may be done more often depending on the needs of each agency.
• CPAT results from Public Safety Testing (PST) or National Testing Network (NTN) are both acceptable for the Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater paramedic/firefighting test ONLY.
• If you registered to test for other PST agencies, you must complete a PST CPAT as required by those agencies.
• If your CPAT certification is through Public Safety Testing, you do not need to submit additional verification.
• If your CPAT certification is through National Testing Network, you must submit and maintain proof of your CPAT certification to Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater Fire by contacting TCMO. Please send to:

**So, if your CPAT certification is more than one year old, you must update it to maintain eligibility for our fire departments. If you update your CPAT with PST, PST will notify TCMO. If you update your CPAT with NTN, you must provide updated credentials directly to TCMO as noted above.
