Department Information

Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One is a progressive all-hazard Fire Department committed to exceptional internal and external customer service. The Department is made up of eighty-nine (89) full time employees and twenty-five (25) active volunteers that serve a growing community of 45,000 residents, responding to 5,400 alarms last year. In addition to fire response, the Department has an exceptional Medical Division that treats and transports both ALS and BLS patients. The Department also has Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, and Wildland Firefighting Teams. We are committed to exceptional training and strongly believe in the core values of teamwork, integrity, safety, and accountability.
