Blaine is a busy border community at the northwest corner of Washington State. Its northern city limit borders Canada & the saltwater of the Salish Sea forms our western boundary. Blaine is nestled between British Columbia, San Juan Islands and Cascade Mountain recreational areas. Department Information

Blaine Police Department is a busy full service law enforcement and public safety agency serving a diverse business and residential community with a staff of 11 full-time officers, 2 support staff and a solid volunteer core of commissioned reserve police officers and trained auxiliary members. Officer collateral duty assignments include SRT and School Resourcing. Blaine's northern city limit is the US/Canadian border.  Two large Customs Ports of Entry, two salt water marinas, a rail line and a portion of the I-5 freeway corridor are within its jurisdiction. Blaine officers work closely with federal agencies including US Border Patrol, Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and international agencies including RCMP and Canada Border Services. Blaine PD provides officer-issued patrol cars, quality equipment and technologies to help officers pursue the agency’s public safety mission.
