The eligibility list is a continuous listing and maintained as scores are
received from PST with oral board interviews conducted on an as-needed basis.
Vacancies are filled by Civil Service "rule of three" with the top
three candidates forwarded to the appointing authority for background
investigation & selection as vacancies occur.
2019 Salary $5,878.93 - $7,697.51
per month
Vacation, Sick Leave, and Compensation time. In
addition to your leave balance, Patrol Officers also receive an additional 208
hours of leave for Police Holiday and Green Time that is front-loaded at the
beginning of the year. Excellent health care coverage for self and dependents,
with your choice of a Health Savings Account or VEBA with minimal employee
premium. The City deposits an additional $4,000 each year into your Health
Savings Account or VEBA which rollover into an interest bearing account, year
after year. 2% specialty pay for SWAT, K9 Officer, Certified Technical Collision
Investigator, Certified Collision Reconstructionist, Civil Disturbance Team Members.
Night shift pay. Yearly uniform allowance ($1,100). Take home vehicle. Deferred
compensation with City match (currently at $1,200 a year) with continued
increases up to $2,400 by 2023. LEOFF Retirement. AA/AAS Degree
($125.00) BA Degree ($200), MA Degree ($270.00) per month.
